You will start your quintessentially English country experience with Afternoon Tea – lots of lovely home-made cake with pots of tea or coffee – at this wonderful farmhouse, taking advantage of the natural environment and inspiring views.
At 7.30pm, it’ll be time for you to gather round the kitchen table in The Pantry with a glass of wine while you watch the wonderful chef cook up a storm – well actually, it’s your supper - right in front of you! Along with your own recipe file there’ll be hints on how to recreate the recipes at home, and tips on where to find the local produce that is sourced for your dinner.
Replete and possibly a bit jolly, it’s fortunately just a few yards back across the courtyard to your welcoming bed. This farmhouse has won several awards for its accommodation – each room with its own luxurious en-suite bathroom. The standard is more what you’d expect at a 4/5* country house hotel.
After a night of peaceful sleep beneath a down duvet, the idea is that you awake refreshed, bouncing with energy, and hopefully hungry again, to sample an Aga-cooked breakfast. These are made with locally-sourced sausages and bacon, the farm’s own eggs and regionally grown produce. And they are delicious.
